HEALING HANDS OF JOY
Healing Hands of Joy provides post-surgical rehabilitation to women with obstetric fistula. They give the women health education, mental health counseling, spiritual counseling, teach them income generating skills and give them a micro loan They graduate from this program as Safe Motherhood Ambassadors and return to their villages to find other fistula victims and teach young girls about the importance of pre-natal and obstetric care.
Women who have recently been cured of obstetric fistula at the Healing Hands of Joy, examining Protect Your Sister Project's educational tools and having a good laugh.
MOST IMPORTANTLY…They stated they “WISHED THEY HAD HAD THESE” EDUCATIONAL TOOls WHEN THEY WERE GOING THROUGH THEIR ORDEALS, AS THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL!!
